RECENT BOOK RELEASES

“Water Management Modelling for Impounding Reservoirs on the Example of the Cascade of Reservoirs on the Eastern Neisse” and “Water in Environmental Engineering” are merely some of publications that have been released by the Publishing House of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management – National Research Institute (IMGW-PIB).

The book entitled “Water Management Modelling for Impounding Reservoirs on the Example of the Cascade of Reservoirs on the Eastern Neisse” is a monograph on water management carried out in the sub-basin of the Eastern Neisse in recent years. It features the physical and geographical characteristics of the sub-basin, climate-specific and hydrological data, as well as refers to historical rises of water. In his book, the author presented a hydrological and management model allowing for the optimum management of capacity of reservoirs located on the Eastern Neisse, which has been evidenced by detailed results of a simulation.

On the other hand, the book entitled “Water in Environmental Engineering” discusses a complex issue of water in the water engineering, referring to multiple scientific disciplines such as: hydrology, hydraulics, physics, hydrochemistry, geography, hydrobiology, ecology and spatial development.

The IMGW-PIB Publishing House is involved in the publication of scientific thematic works (monographs) addressing the issues connected with such areas of science as: meteorology and climate science, hydrology, water management and water engineering, oceanography.
