Konferencja Stop suszy! Start retencji!

On May 27, 2025, the second nationwide “Stop Drought! Start Retention!” conference will take place at the Congress Centre of the University of Agriculture in Kraków. The event is organized as part of the ongoing work on updating the Drought Effects Mitigation Plan (aPPSS).

The conference will be an opportunity to present current challenges related to drought mitigation and to showcase best practices in water retention implemented across Poland. The program includes presentations by experts from institutions responsible for water management, representatives from the scientific community, students, and organizations engaged in climate change adaptation efforts.

Participation in the conference is free of charge, but prior registration is required. Registration is open until May 21, and the number of in-person spots is limited.

The registration form is available [here].

We invite everyone interested in retention, climate change adaptation, and drought mitigation planning—both at the local and national level—to register and take part.

For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the event will be available on the YouTube channel of Polish Waters.

The “Stop Drought! Start Retention!” conference is part of a project funded by the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment 2021–2027 (FEnIKS).
