A contract has been signed to review and update the DECP

On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Mateusz Balcerowicz – Deputy President of the State Water Holding Polish Waters signed a contract to implement the project “Review and update of the Drought Effects Counteracting Plan” (uDECP).

This is one of three key documents developed by the State Water Holding Polish Waters as part of the flood and drought prevention strategy. Drought is a serious challenge not only in Poland, but also in Europe. The document update will focus on the activities that will be planned for individual catchments. In accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission, the uDECP will also include the aspect of drought risk management. One of the key moments of the implementation of the Project will be the six months long public consultations scheduled from February 2026, in which we cordially invite you to participate now.
