The national public consultation has begun as part of the Drought stop! project. We will discuss the drought effects counteracting plan being currently developed. This is fist such comprehensive document in Poland concerning this phenomenon.
The Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation invites to the six-month public consultation for the drought effects counteracting plan (DECP). The consultation will run from 15 August 2019 to 15 February 2020 and will take place in 15 largest Polish cities. Everyone can submit their comments and insights. This is the most important stage of the strategic project ‘Drought stop!’ implemented by the National Water Management Authority.
They have a beautiful name and look fantastic. They do not require much care. In addition, they allow collection and saving water in the garden. This is important because for the last several years, we have been experiencing drought from spring to autumn.
By publishing the video “Stop suszy” (Stop the Drought), we intend to initiate a public discussion about drought in Poland. We have scrutinised the phenomenon with the help of the research conducted for the purposes of the “Stop the Drought!” programme. The video, owing its title to the programme itself, aims to draw attention to the growing problem.
