The water resources at the climate summit in Katowice.

The subject of water resources management was an important part of the United Nations Conference on climate changes held in Katowice (COP24).

,,Water is the right of all and the heritage of future generations” – that was a motto of the water panel discussion. The characteristics of water resources in Poland and the subject of key challenges in the water management of the country were presented to the audience by Małgorzata Bogucka-Szymalska representing Ministry of Marine Economy and Inland Navigation. Joanna Kopczyńska, Vice President of the Polish Waters responsible for the management of water environment, presented the subject of the national protection against flood and drought, but also discussed the issues related to charges for the use of water. The panel discussion was also participated by the representatives of the Regional Water Management Authority.
